American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) with acute care experience and current NJ or compact RN license for a hospital operating room role.

Job Details

  • Position is in the operating room assisting in surgical cases,
  • Approximately 30 cases per day in a hospital setting,
  • Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, with four 10-hour shifts weekly,
  • Potential on-call responsibilities for weekends, seven on-call shifts per month (either 7 AM-7 : 30 PM or 7 PM-7 : 30 AM),
  • EPIC is used for charting and documentation,
  • Scrubs are provided,

Job Requirements

  • Active NJ or compact RN license required,
  • Minimum 1 year of acute care nursing experience required,
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,
  • Must meet background check standards with no active issues,
  • Epic EMR charting experience preferred,
  • Returning employees must have a 1 year gap from previous employment with the health system,

  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers,
  • All requested time off (RTO) must be approved prior to offer,
  • Must be prepared for high case volume and fast-paced environment,
