Job Title : Simulation Engineer (61146-1)

About the Team / Role :

The Simulation Engineer will join a specialized team that provides simulation support across multiple company divisions. The team is segmented into smaller groups, each led by a technical lead who manages resources, assigns projects, and ensures seamless collaboration with internal teams.

This position specifically focuses on evaluating engine performance through computer-based simulations. The engineer will work alongside an engine specialist to develop digital models, perform heat and power dynamic tests, analyze results, and present findings to stakeholders. Due to the hands-on nature of the work, this role requires full-time, on-site commitment. No remote work or travel is required.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute simulations for engine combustion performance using commercial CFD tools.
  • Conduct analyses on heat and power dynamics within internal combustion engines.
  • Build digital models and validate simulation results.
  • Interpret and present simulation data to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with engine specialists and project leads to optimize engine design.

Must-Have Qualifications :

  • Education : Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience OR PhD (fresh graduates accepted if dissertation focuses on engine combustion).
  • Technical Expertise : Experience with commercial CFD tools for engine combustion (e.g., Converge, Siemens STAR-CCM+).
  • Engine Knowledge : Strong understanding of engine systems and components, including pistons, cylinder liners, intake systems, and aftertreatment components.
  • Simulation Skills : Ability to perform CFD thermal and performance simulations, particularly for diesel or gas engine combustion.

    • Nice-to-Have Qualifications :

  • Experience with 1D engine performance simulation tools (e.g., GT Power).
  • Proficiency in solid modeling and CAD software.
  • Prior experience with 3D modeling (while the primary focus is 3D CFD simulations).
