Position Summary

We're seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team in Mobile, AL. This role is responsible for developing and optimizing CNC programs for a variety of custom parts in a job shop setting. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with a collaborative mindset, ensuring efficient setups, accurate machining, and minimal downtime across diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Create, edit, and optimize CNC programs using CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar)
• Interpret complex blueprints, CAD models, and engineering specifications to determine machining strategies
• Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds based on material and design requirements
• Collaborate with machinists and engineers to validate programs and troubleshoot issues during setup and production
• Simulate toolpaths and verify program accuracy prior to release to the shop floor
• Maintain organized program files and revision history for traceability and repeatability
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by refining machining processes and reducing cycle times
• Assist with fixture design and setup documentation when needed
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ISO / AS9100 standards
