How You’ll Contribute
A Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for the scope, schedule, cost, quality and client satisfaction of a project throughout its entire lifecycle, from Initiating through Closing phases. The PM oversees all AVE projects, budgets and scopes, acts as the primary point of contact for clients, and mentors other Project Managers.
What You’ll Do
Daily activities include project communications, scheduling, task lists for technicians and overseeing the completion of projects.
Complete systems integration projects on time, on budget and achieving high customer satisfaction.
Manage projects and communicate with all project stakeholders.
Follow and help improve established Diversified processes.
Develop a strong, long‑term client relationship as the primary interface.
Coordinate all activities associated with the timely, accurate and on‑budget completion of the project, including engaging stakeholders, delegating responsibilities and running client and internal project meetings.
Provide support and assistance to team members to help them succeed.
Ensure appropriate and frequent communication between stakeholders and resolve conflict.
Design, plan, and coordinate work teams for AVE installation projects.
Assume ownership of individual projects and assignments.
Maintain communication with Account Executives, Directors, technicians, subcontractors, and clients.
Lead teams on large projects as required.
Communicate project updates as needed, monitor labor, equipment and material budgets, and provide technical and administrative support.
Develop and maintain all related project schedules, perform field verification of prospective work sites, and coordinate drawings and documentation.
Facilitate design reviews, program checkout of systems, and create punch‑lists after completion.
Contract with contractors and other trades when necessary, monitor project status, ensure quality, and pursue continuous improvement.
Coordinate training and turnover of projects to client, service department, and sales teams.
Complexity
Every project is different, and every set of stakeholders requires negotiating complex variables between design, site conditions and expectations.
The PM must balance schedules, budgets, scope, quality and client satisfaction, managing change in every project environment.
Decision Making Authority
Takes full ownership of the project and acts as the single point of responsibility.
Ensures schedule performance, quality of solution delivered to client and client satisfaction.
Manages and reports on the project’s financials, ensuring budget performance and profitability.
Ensures timely and correct billings to client.
Communicates decision options to stakeholders and manages those decisions.
Manages a complex array of decisions at every point of the project but is rarely the sole decision maker.
Physical Working Environment & Demands
May be exposed to construction site conditions on a regular basis.
Responsible for personal safety while on job sites and must comply with all safety regulations.
Use of PPE typically required on job sites.
Employee may need to spend ~40% of time on feet and move around construction sites.
Occasional climbing ladders, using stairs, lifting or moving materials up to 20 pounds.
Use keyboards, test equipment and controls required for SI installation projects.
Requires normal vision, both near and distance.
Outside construction sites, the employee experiences normal office conditions and uses office equipment such as computers.
Travel
Frequent travel by car and occasional airplane trips; valid driver’s license required.
Must use personal vehicle; reimbursed for mileage at the current corporate rate.

What You’ll Bring
Education & Certifications
Associate’s / Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.
AVIXA CTS certification.
Other relevant certifications may be required or preferred.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 8 years as a project manager in commercial construction or similar settings.
Deep knowledge of audio / video systems, low‑voltage electrical projects.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Supervisory and people skills.
Able to diagnose and resolve complex technical, political and people‑related problems.
Great people leadership and financial cost‑accounting background.
