Coverage Needed

  • Start Date : As soon as credentialed
  • End Date : Ongoing
  • 14 (12-hour) shifts monthly
  • Day Shift : 7 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM (10.5 hours)
  • Night Shift : 5 : 30 PM to 7 : 00 AM (13.5 hours)
  • Nights, weekends, holidays required
  • 24-hour shifts available but not required

Clinical Details

  • 35 patients per day split between covering providers
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support
  • Proficiency with tube thoracostomy, central venous catheter placement at a minimum, arterial line placement preferred
  • Call room available for night shift
  • Support Staff : Daily staffing includes 1 attending surgeon for floor rounding and ED call, 1 attending surgeon in the ICU, 2-3 APPs for floor rounding and ED call, and 2-3 residents across the service

    • Night coverage includes 1 attending surgeon for ICU, floor, ED, 1 APP for floor and ED, 2-3 residents for ICU and ED, and 1-2 Trauma nurse leads support

  • EMR : Cerner Power Chart

    • Requirements

  • Active NC license
  • Active NC DEA
  • Board Certified
  • DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
