Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Location

This is a 13-week contract position.

7 p.m. - 7 a.m.

Job Description

The Labor and Delivery unit provides comprehensive care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. This includes performing vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and managing antepartum care and continuous electronic fetal monitoring.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to laboring patients at a 1 : 1 or 2 : 1 ratio, depending on patient needs.
  • Conduct recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) at a 2 : 1 ratio.
  • Utilize specialized equipment, including Hill-Rom birthing beds, Alaris IV pumps, and CADD Solis epidural pumps.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including charge nurses, surgical techs, and ancillary services for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

  • AWHONN Intermediate Electronic Fetal Monitoring Certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification.
  • Experience in OR Circulation for C-sections is preferred.
