Job Title : Staff Accountant I (Contract Role)

Work Arrangement : Onsite daily during training then 6 times per month onsite

A leading organization is seeking a Staff Accountant I to support daily accounting operations including billing payment application disbursements and financial accuracy. This role is ideal for a junior-level accounting professional with strong attention to detail and hands-on experience with Microsoft Excel.

Key Responsibilities

Perform accounting support tasks with accuracy and adherence to established accounting practices

Process billing transactions and ensure accuracy in payment applications

Research checks and investigate discrepancies

Handle disbursements and maintain organized financial records

Respond professionally to internal and external emails

Prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

Associates degree in Accounting Finance or a related field

1-3 years of accounting experience

Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Experience with billing or payment processing is highly preferred

Ability to research financial discrepancies and reconcile records

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

Experience in large corporate or financial services environments

Familiarity with accounting principles such as GAAP

Exposure to ERPs or accounting software platforms

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Comfortable working onsite until fully trained
