We are seeking a skilled Scala Developer to support the development of a next-generation blockchain-based Securities Lending system.

This role involves working on complex, multi-system projects and contributing to digital transformation in the capital markets industry.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Scala, AKKA, and event-driven programming, along with a solid understanding of secure coding practices and cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complex, multi-system projects.
  • Develop scalable and secure applications using Scala and AKKA.
  • Work with technologies such as Kafka, Postgres, and Docker.
  • Apply functional and event-driven programming principles.
  • Ensure secure coding practices and write unit tests.
  • Participate in continuous integration and deployment (CI / CD) processes.
  • Contribute to application design and integration with packaged software.
  • Support performance optimization and system reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Scala software development.
  • At least 5 years of experience with AKKA.
  • Hands-on experience with Kafka and Postgres.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
  • Experience writing unit tests and working in CI / CD environments.
  • Familiarity with Actor model and event-driven programming.
  • Proficiency in functional programming concepts.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with application delivery methodologies.
  • 3+ years of experience in application design and converting business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with packaged application integration.
  • Knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with Docker.
  • Prior experience in financial services is a plus.
