Physical therapists (PTs) evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with physical impairments, injuries, or disabilities. Using evidence-based practices to improve mobility, reduce pain, and promote physical well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations
- Assess patient's movement patterns, strength, and range of motion
- Diagnose physical impairments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Design and administer therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities (e.g., ultrasound, electrical stimulation)
- Educate patients on self-care strategies, home exercises, and injury prevention
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and discharge patients when appropriate
- Provide patient education on health conditions, treatment options, and lifestyle modifications
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE) license
- State-specific licensure requirements
Requirements 1 year PT, home health
HCHB experience
