This position involves working on a rehab / neuro specialty unit. It requires experience in managing patients with spinal and brain injuries. The unit has 28 beds with a patient ratio of 1 : 6 during day shifts. Equipment utilized includes tube feeds, ventilators, trach care supplies, Alaris IV pumps, Hoyer lifts, Kangaroo pumps, and negative pressure wound therapy. Electronic medical records are managed using Cerner and ITW systems. The ideal candidate is compassionate and demonstrates effective communication skills. Willingness to educate patients and their families is essential. Self-learners will also be favored for this role. Dress code includes wearing galaxy blue scrubs. Unacceptable attire includes hoodies, t-shirts, sweatshirts, and anything outside of the uniform. This position is a contractor replacement.
