EMIT Learning is currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Cafeteria Staff Member to join our team. As part of our school community you will play an essential role in preparing and serving nutritious meals to students while maintaining a clean safe and welcoming dining environment.   • Start Date : ASAP

Total Hours Per Week : 30-40 hours per week

  • Duration of Contract : New School Year 202526

    • Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation cooking and serving of nutritious meals in compliance with school nutrition guidelines
  • Ensure proper food handling storage and sanitation practices are followed at all times
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen serving areas and dining spaces before during and after meal service
  • Set up and restock food stations and supplies as needed
  • Assist students during meal service ensuring safety and efficiency in the cafeteria
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any maintenance or safety issues promptly
  • Collaborate with team members and school staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Comply with all health safety and district food service policies

    • Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in food service school cafeteria or similar setting preferred
  • Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean safe and positive dining environment
  • Dependable punctual and able to follow directions and schedules effectively
