Our client, a fast-growing legal services provider at the forefront of eDiscovery innovation, is seeking a Review Consultant to support the deployment of advanced analytics workflows using Relativity aiR and Brainspace. In this hands-on, execution-focused role, you'll collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to help design and optimize TAR workflows, validate search strategies, and deliver defensible, analytics-driven review solutions. POSITION OVERVIEW The Review Consultant supports the design and deployment of analytics workflows using Relativity aiR and, on occasion, Brainspace. This role is hands-on and technical, requiring experience and familiarity with active learning models, supervised and unsupervised workflows, search and filter logic.
The Review Consultant works closely with internal teams, client stakeholders, review managers, and subject matter experts to ensure analytics solutions are aligned with review goals, legal strategy, and case timelines. This individual serves both as an advisor and technical executor across client portfolios and is instrumental in enhancing efficiencies and achieving outcomes through the effective application of advanced analytics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Analytics Execution & Technical Delivery - Assist with deployment of analytics workflows in Relativity aiR, including:
- Creation and management of active learning projects
- Model training, review queue optimization, and performance monitoring
- Feedback incorporation and re-training iterations
- Creation of and reporting on model efficacy (precision, recall, richness)
Assist with creation of unsupervised analytics including: Email threading, near-duplicate detection, and conceptual clustering Visualizations and dashboards to identify communication patterns or data anomalies Support Senior Review Consultants with Brainspace projects when applicable, including: Index creation, custodial mapping, and concept searching Search & Workflow Design - Draft, test, and refine complex Boolean search logic for culling and responsive set development
Client Advisory & Strategic Consultation - Act as a trusted advisor to clients and legal teams regarding optimal use of analytics
- Collaborate with the team to translate legal review objectives into executable analytics strategies
- Present workflow plans, reporting insights, and performance updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Reporting & Defensibility - Generate key analytics reports (e.g., model performance, review rates, precision/recall curves)
- Assist with preparation of documentation to support defensibility in meet-and-confer discussions, depositions, or court proceedings
- Work closely with review and project managers to align metrics reporting with client KPIs
Best Practices & Enablement - Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for review workflows.
- Participate in training sessions to develop proficiency in eDiscovery tools and best practices.
- Stay current with analytics product enhancements and industry best practices
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED - Bachelor’s degree required; JD or advanced legal degree strongly preferred
- Direct experience working in eDiscovery, with a strong emphasis on hands-on analytics execution
- Experience with Relativity aiR or similar tools is required; experience with Brainspace a plus
- Working knowledge of:
- Technology-Assisted Review (TAR 1.0, TAR 2.0)
- CAL workflows
- Search term analysis, validation, and QC techniques
- Email threading and near-duplicate analysis
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills Proven ability to translate legal strategy into defensible technical workflows Strong client-facing presence and ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams Certification in Relativity (e.g., Relativity Certified Administrator, RelativityOne Review Pro, Relativity Analytics Specialist) a plus Experience with alternative review platforms and tools (e.g., Disco; Everchron) a plus CAREER DEVELOPMENT - This role offers exposure to advanced analytics, AI, and review management practices, providing a pathway to positions such as Senior Review Consultant as skills and experience grow.
Expected salary for this exempt role is $100,000 - $150,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
