- Install, configure, and maintain database systems, including but not limited to MSSQL and MySQL
- Create and manage database schemas, tables, indexes, and other database objects
- Perform regular database performance tuning, optimization, and capacity planning
- Implement and maintain database security, including user access management, data encryption, and backups
- Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including performance bottlenecks, errors, and data inconsistencies
- Plan and execute database backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection and disaster recovery
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement efficient and scalable database solutions
- Perform data migrations, transformations, and integrations between different database systems
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data dictionaries, data flow diagrams, and standard operating procedures
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in database technologies and best practices

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MS SQL, MySQL, Times10, NoSQL, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
- Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries
- Solid understanding of database security, backup and recovery, and performance tuning techniques
- Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Familiarity with data integration and ETL processes
