A renowned company in Connecticut is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their growing team in New Haven County.

About the Opportunity :

  • Schedule : Monday to Friday
  • Hours : Standard business
  • Setting : Hybrid (3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities :

  • Processing vendor invoices and reviewing monthly statements
  • Enforcing PO policies across the organization
  • Ensuring correct coding and approval for non-PO transactions
  • Updating vendor master information as necessary
  • Preparing monthly Accounts Payable accruals

    • Qualifications :

  • 5 years of Accounts Payable experience
  • High School Diploma / GED and / or Associate's Degree
  • Intermediate knowledge of Accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Deadline-oriented
  • Well-organized with multitasking abilities
  • Ability to work independently

    • Desired Skills :

  • 10 years of Accounts Payable experience in a Manufacturing setting
  • Associate's and / or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • Excellent keying and organizational skills
  • Strong communication abilities
