We're currently hiring for open positions in the US and Canada. We operate in Canada as Engineered Lifting Systems and Equipment (ELS) / DBA Gorbel® Canada, and subsequent communication related to Canadian positions may show the ELS name. Work Shift : Job Description :

Plans, directs and coordinates manufacturing processes in the plant. Develops, evaluates and improves manufacturing methods using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, lean manufacturing and quality control standards. Supports multiple manufacturing facilities.

Specific Duties :

• Analyze work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and layout of equipment for maximum efficiency.
• Research manufacturing trends, new technology and recommend improvements to current production methods where advantageous.
• Implement changes in production processes to support improvements in safety, quality, delivery and / or reduce operating costs.
• Facilitate and apply Lean Manufacturing principles in all manufacturing facilities and participate in continuous improvement projects to drive results.
• Manage capital projects from project definition, contractor quoting and selection, project execution and final implementation.
• Support the company safety program by applying knowledge of safety principles and practices related to ergonomics and machine guarding to establish new processes or reviewing existing processes.
• Participates in various projects within or related to manufacturing where assigned.
• Develop documentation and procedures to support all manufacturing functions.
• Demonstrate and utilize a strong methodical problem solving approach to drive to root cause and implement sustainable corrective actions to production problems.
• Responsibilities will include working on quality engineering activities as directed and / or based on organizational needs.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Gorbel, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

Manufacturing Engineer : Min. $78,467.00 - Max $117,701.00

Manufacturing Engineer, Sr : Min. $94,945.00 - Max $142,418.00
