Embedded Software Engineer - 67306

Pay Range - $75 - $80 / hr

One of our clients is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team on-site in Chandler, AZ.

About the Role

We are seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support mission-critical development efforts for advanced aerospace and defense systems. This role involves hands-on real-time embedded software development, system integration, and close collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.

This is a fully onsite position at our Chandler, AZ facility and offers an excellent opportunity for engineers who are passionate about innovation, high-reliability software, and solving complex technical challenges in a safety-critical environment.

What You'll Do

Support all phases of the software development lifecycle, including :

Requirements development

Software architecture and detailed design

Coding in C / C++

Unit testing

Integration and test of real-time embedded software

Develop, debug, and maintain real-time embedded applications

Ensure compliance with established software standards, processes, and best practices

Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including hardware, systems, and test engineering

Contribute to system integration and verification activities for mission-critical platforms

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering , or a related field

Experience with object-oriented C / C++ development on Linux

Experience developing, debugging, and testing real-time embedded software

Hands-on experience with RTOS environments such as VxWorks, Integrity, LynxOS, Yocto Linux, or similar

Experience across the full software development lifecycle

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Active DoD Secret clearance (granted or renewed within the last 5 years)

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with PowerPC, ARM, or RISC-V architectures

Hands-on experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or Real-Time Computer-in-the-Loop (CIL) integration environments
