Security Officer - Unarmed Residential Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Residential Patrol in Venice, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Residential, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol residential areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and create a welcoming environment for residents and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, often by bike, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Pay Rate : $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 30 PM

Fri 08 : 30 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Sat 08 : 30 AM - 05 : 00 PM

Sun 08 : 30 AM - 05 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and / or guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following outlined protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the residential property and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any suspicious behavior or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification, and monitoring entry and exit points as required.
  • Support emergency response activities as appropriate to the situation and in accordance with site guidelines.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all incidents, activities, and observations during each shift.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Able to ride a bike is required.
  • Be able to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
