We are seeking a board-certified Obstetrician / Gynecologist for a locum tenens hospitalist assignment in Indiana, starting Dec 1, 2025, for a 24-week contract. The role offers 3-6 shifts per month, including weekday nights and weekend day / night coverage, with midwife support and urgent GYN surgery responsibilities.

  • Schedule : 3-6 shifts per month; Weekdays 5 PM-7 AM; Weekends 7 AM-7 PM and 7 PM-7 AM

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide in-house OB Hospitalist coverage for labor and delivery
  • Manage urgent gynecologic surgeries as needed
  • Work collaboratively with 1-2 certified nurse midwives per shift
  • Deliver patients at 32+ weeks gestation; high-risk deliveries are transferred to tertiary care
  • Oversee approximately 300 deliveries per year
  • Collaborate with 24 / 7 available anesthesia team
  • Ensure timely, high-quality care during assigned shifts

    • Additional Information

  • Must have active Indiana medical license
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications required
  • Locum can work up to 48 hours per shift
