Facilities Maintenance Tech

JBS is seeking an hourly Facilities Maintenance Tech 2nd shift Team Member ! Position starts at $ 25-$30 per hour based on experience. Facility Maintenance Technician performs basic and routine facilities maintenance construction and repair tasks according to service quality and safety standards. To be a Facility Maintenance Technician typically requires 3-5 years of related experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Monitor the water treatment facilitys performance to ensure effective treatment and maintain facilitys regulatory compliance.

2. Monitor the refrigeration system and adjust maintain proper cold room and freezing tunnel temperatures with little to no supervision. M ust maintain equipment for peak efficiency and power saving while meeting the requirements of OHSAs PSM and the EPAs RMP programs.

3. Routinely inspecting electrical systems such as wiring fixtures and appliances utilizing basic electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters ohmmeters and mega ohmmeters Identifying faults or hazards. Troubleshooting system failures. Reviewing blueprints to understand wiring placement. Conducting maintenance repairs on old or faulty fixtures.

4. Perform highly diversified duties to install and start up production machines and other plant equipment.

5. Resolves all maintenance and mechanical problems promptly with minimal disruption to production schedules.

6. Follows all lock out tag out procedures.

7. Performs equipment PMs

8. Keeps record of all work performed.

9. Updates maintenance history logs and completes the required paperwork.

10. Accounts for equipment used for maintenance and repair.

11. Understands and follows the company GMP policy.

12. Understands and follows the company safety rules

13. Cleans and maintains work area.

14. May be required to work long hours and weekends.

15. May assume other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Work Environment

ACTIVITIES :

Very active position requiring standing walking bending kneeling stooping crouching crawling and climbing all day.

HEARING :

Must be able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

REPETITIVE MOTION :

Must be able to frequently and regularly use wrists hands and or fingers.

VISUAL ABILITIES :

Acute close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH :

Regularly lift and / or move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 100 pounds with a partner throughout the day.

WORKING CONDITIONS :

Must be able to work for long hours in a no-kill food processing environment where it is wet damp and cold. Temperatures are around 34 degrees fahrenheit and employees are expected to remain in these conditions for most of their workdays.
