Job Summary
Under medical supervision, the Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides comprehensive care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. This includes assessment, treatment, diagnostic evaluation, and ongoing management.
Primary responsibilities include :
Delivering high-quality respiratory care in critical care and other hospital settings
Initiating and performing therapeutic procedures
Ensuring proper setup, operation, and maintenance of respiratory equipment
Maintaining accurate patient documentation
Assuming occasional charge responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
New graduates welcome! Acute care experience preferred.
BLS certification (Basic Life Support) required
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
Connecticut state license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
NBRC certification required
Schedule
Three 12.5-hour shifts per week
Rotating weekends and holidays
Rotating day (7 AM–8 PM) and night (7 PM–7 : 30 AM) shifts
