Job Details : \n

Assess the needs of each patient before and during surgical procedures while maintaining patient safety

Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for surgical patients

Provide leadership to the OR team and supervise activity in the operating room

Anticipate and coordinate schedule changes for the room

Assemble equipment and supplies for surgical procedures

Assist anesthesia as necessary and monitor sterile field

Communicate with patients, families, physicians, OR team, supervisors, and ancillary departments

Work every other weekend

No on-call responsibilities

2+ years of nursing experience required

BLS (AHA) certification required

Prior travel experience preferred

Epic experience highly preferred

Michigan nursing license required

Must live outside 50-mile radius (facility will not consider local candidates)

Participate in staff development through continuing education, in-services, and meetings

Skills checklist current within 1 year and 2 supervisory reference forms within last two years required
