Roofing Mechanic

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Roofing Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of commercial roofing systems. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in various roofing materials, techniques, and safety procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Execute installation and repair of various commercial roofing systems, including flat roofs, low-slope roofs, and pitched roofs.
• Work with a variety of roofing materials such as EPDM, TPO, PVC, metal, and asphalt shingles.
• Identify and troubleshoot roofing issues to determine the most effective solutions.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your team.
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow proper safety procedures during all roofing activities.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of roofing projects.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address their roofing needs and provide updates on project progress.
• Ensure the highest quality workmanship in all roofing installations and repairs.
• Conduct thorough inspections to identify and rectify any defects or issues.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Proven experience as a Roofing Mechanic in the commercial roofing industry.
• Familiarity with various roofing materials and systems.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to travel as necessary with or without notice locally.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma / GED
• Degree in Business or Construction management preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of standing and kneeling.
• Periodically climbing ladders to access work area
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Working long periods of time outdoors exposed to different weather conditions.
