About The Officer Tatum

The Officer Tatum is a leading conservative media platform with over 7 million followers across YouTube, podcasts, and social media. In addition to our daily show, we manage multiple e-commerce brands and partnerships. We are seeking a talented Video Editor to join our growing team and help elevate our content across platforms.

Position Overview

The Video Editor will be responsible for producing, editing, and optimizing video content for The Officer Tatum YouTube channel, podcast, and social media accounts. This role requires expertise in editing, content strategy, and social media algorithms, as well as the flexibility to travel with the CEO for live events and interviews.

Responsibilities

Edit and cut engaging video content daily for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and other emerging platforms.

Oversee and manage the brand's social media accounts, ensuring quality, consistency, and audience engagement.

Monitor trends in the social media and video editing space and develop strategies to capitalize on them.

Track and analyze social media performance indicators and algorithms to optimize content.

Work with the Marketing Director to produce content for the e-commerce store.

Capture photography and video content as needed.

Travel with the CEO to record content at speaking engagements, interviews, and live events.

Maintain consistent project organization, deadlines, and deliverables.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven expertise in video editing and storytelling across multiple platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat).

Strong understanding of social algorithms and performance metrics.

Skilled in photo and video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, etc.).

Photography skills preferred.

Effective communication skills — writing, speaking, and listening.

Great interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.

Strong project management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Exceptional time management and organizational ability.

Willingness to travel with CEO for events and shoots.
