Project Engineer

Garver is seeking a Project Engineer to join our growing Transportation Team in Austin or Round Rock, TX to continue the tradition of providing quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities in this position will include :

• Leading the engineering design of roadway projects for state and local DOTs.
• Coordinating design with other disciplines and subconsultants.
• Communicating with the project manager on deliverables, schedules, and budgets.
• Preparing design schematics in collaboration with environmental task leaders and other team members, consistent with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).
• Preparing plans, specifications, cost estimates, reports, and calculations necessary for a complete deliverable package to the client.
• Interacting with the client, including preparing communications and other documentation.
• Mentoring and training younger engineers on roadway design.
• Serving as a Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA / QC) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for reviewing deliverables.
• Supporting the Project Manager during Bid Phase and Construction including answering Requests for Information (RFI), reviewing project submittals from the contractor, preparing addenda and plan revisions.
• Assisting the Business Team Leader and Project Manager with marketing efforts, including proposal writing, client interaction, and public engagements.
