Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Nursing Assistant, you'll help our patients feel safer and more comfortable by assisting with their basic daily life activities.
Every day, you will directly support patients with tasks such as personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, while also assisting nursing staff with vital sign monitoring and preparing patient rooms.
Your success in this role comes from your genuine desire to help patients feel better, whether that means giving them fresh bed linens or checking their vitals. You're diligent about your tasks, observant of patients' conditions improving or declining, and accept coaching well.
Communicates, records, and reports promptly to the licensed nursing personnel vitals, treatment results, changes in patients condition, observations, patient complaints, and other pertinent information regarding the patient.
Checks and repositions all immobile and incontinent residents at a minimum of every two hours providing needed incontinent care promptly as required by assigned unit.
Promptly answers call lights and responds to alarms and patients requests.
Follow-up on patient care responsibilities and assignments left from previous shift and reports to team leader any incomplete assignments to ensure continuity of care.
Performs direct patient care activities for specific patient population according to established policies and procedures; adapts techniques to unique needs of each patient.
Accurately places electrodes and activates telemetry monitoring, as assigned. Respond to request for telemetry / lead troubleshooting whether that of assigned patient or not.
Job Requirements
Required
Successful completion of a CaliforniaState Approved Nursing Assistantprogram with a Certified Nurse Assistant(CNA) certificate
Three(3) months experience performing ADL's(Activities of Daily Living) in a healthcarefacility, including but not limited to home health, hospice, SNF, Rehab and acute care
Active Certified Nursing Assistant certification issued by the state of California
AHA Basic Life Support card
