Estimator

Our client is an established, family-owned contractor that has been in business for over 50 years. Based out of Boston, they have a great reputation and prides themselves on repeat business, transparent communication and a balanced field / project management staff.

Due to business growth, they seek an experienced Estimator that will report directly to their Ownership group. Generating close to $60M in yearly revenue, they have a diverse portfolio including commercial, healthcare and retail projects.

Responsibilities :

• Analyze Project Documents :

Carefully review blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents to understand project scope and requirements.

Calculate and list the exact quantities of materials and resources needed for a project.

Determine the costs for materials, labor, equipment, and other expenses to develop detailed budgets and proposals.

Work closely with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate bids and provide cost information.

Oversee the bidding process for subcontractors and vendors to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.

Utilize specialized software, such as BlueBeam or Procore, to create takeoffs, manage data, and generate estimates.

Keep current with new construction methods, material costs, safety codes, and industry trends to ensure accuracy.

Produce written proposals, cost estimates, and budget updates for stakeholders.
