The Assistant Manager seeks to foster a welcoming, guest centered experience for guests of our restaurants through strong knowledge of food and beverage menus, rigorous training and mentorship of new FOH employees.
Responsibilities :
- Opening the restaurant.
- Appointing, inducting, and mentoring new staff members.
- Scheduling shifts and assigning tables to waitstaff.
- Resolving customers' questions and grievances in a professional manner.
- Conducting payroll activities in an accurate, timely manner.
- Ensuring that the restaurant adheres to pertinent health and safety regulations.
- Purchasing new ingredients, kitchen utensils, and equipment as stock is damaged or depleted.
- Sourcing better deals on all resources and equipment that warrant replacing or replenishing.
- Recording all income and expenses and ensuring that cash registers are balanced.
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as needed
Assistant Managers work nights, weekends, and some holidays and typically work a five day work week. General Managers receive paid time off and assistance with health, dental, and vision insurance as well as access to group life and accident insurance.
