Associate Field Service Engineer

We are in search of an Entry-level Field Service Engineer  to join our Power & Water Solutions business based in Cranberry Township or one of our regional offices (Tinley Park, IL, Charlotte, NC, Warren, NJ, Houston, TX, or Riverside, CA)

We focus on upgrading existing plant control systems with the industry leading automation controls and instrumentation to promote sustainability and longevity of our North American power grid and wastewater infrastructure.

In this role, you will be using the latest software and hardware platform including our virtualization, simulation and remote support technologies to provide customized and efficient solutions to our customers. We will offer you hands-on work experience and on the job training supported by senior engineers and mentorship.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

• Perform a variety of related functions such as on-site instruction of customer personnel; writing and modifying maintenance procedures; quality control tests and / or product evaluation; provide complete and timely reports on all activities with emphasis on defining problems encountered, services.
• Direct the efforts of personnel engaged in installation of control systems, sub-systems, equipment, or their routine modification / repair.
• Provide direct engineering advisory assistance to the customer, and liaison within the company, on issues dealing with the equipment or related matters
• Cultivate relationships with internal project teams, customer project teams and contractors
• Apply your advanced troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, and planning skills.
• Provide hands-on training to our customers on-site or in a factory acceptance test (FAT).
• Develop and maintain good customer relations.
• Participate in the writing, review, and revision of field / operational manuals based on your hands-on work with these systems.

Our compensation philosophy is simple : we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary for this role is $76,000 annually + $2,500 sign on bonus plus overtime, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
