Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Tupelo, Mississippi (38801) – Mississippi nursing jobs

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Unit : Cardiac Stepdown (16-bed unit)

Facility Level : Level 2 Trauma Hospital

Start Date : December 3, 2025 (or December 17, 2025)

Contract Duration : 13-week travel nursing contract

Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Scheduling : 3-1-3 or 6 on / 8 off schedule (details provided at contract start)

Floating : Required to other stepdown units as needed

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1780-$1910

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Mississippi RN license – Registered Nurse jobs in Mississippi

Current BLS and ACLS certifications

NIH Stroke Scale certification

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac stepdown or stepdown nursing

Ability to pass Basic and Advanced Dysrhythmia (rhythm strip) tests (score 80%+)

Flexibility to work weekends and holidays (must be available for Christmas Eve / Day and New Year's Eve / Day)

Willingness to float to other units within competency

No perm / per diem work at facility in past 12 months

Compliance documentation due 7 days before start date

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown patients

Monitor and assess cardiac and neuro stepdown patients, ensuring safety and comfort

Administer medications and prescribed treatments

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop patient care plans

Accurately document patient information in Epic EMR system

Float to other stepdown units as needed

Maintain flexible scheduling and commitment to assignment

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training
