The Dundee Township Park District is looking for enthusiastic Swim Lesson Instructors to teach essential swimming and water safety skills to participants of all ages and abilities!

What Youll Do

As a Swim Instructor, youll:

• Teach group and/or private swim lessons using approved aquatic instruction techniques.
• Adapt your teaching style to meet the needs of participants of different ages, experience levels, and abilities.
• Communicate with parents and participants to ensure progress and a positive experience.
• Ensure a safe and engaging learning environment by following all facility policies and safety procedures.
• Respond effectively in emergencies in accordance with the districts emergency action plans.
• Support the Aquatics team and assist with additional responsibilities as needed.
• Represent the Dundee Township Park Districts Mission by delivering exceptional service and creating lasting memories.

Who You Are

Youre a motivated and upbeat instructor with:

• A passion for swimming and teaching others.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and strong communication skills.
• The ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
• A friendly and approachable personality that helps put participants at ease.
• A proactive attitude and a team-player mindset.
• A minimum age of 15 years old.

Previous swim instruction experience is a plus but not requiredwe provide training!

Schedule

• Swim lessons are heldweekdays and weekends, including morning and evening classes.
• A consistent schedule may be available depending on program needs.
• This is aseasonal positionwith potential foryear-round opportunities.
