After Brightline Florida completed the first passenger rail system connecting Miami and Orlando, Brightline West was formed to connect Las Vegas and Southern California through the nation's first true high-speed, electric passenger rail system. Reaching speeds of more than 186 miles per hour, this 218-mile high-speed rail service will take passengers from Las Vegas to the Greater Los Angeles area twice as fast as the normal drive time.

SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Construction Accountant to join our Brightline West team. This individual will be responsible for generating monthly construction billings in AIA G702 / G703 format and the maintenance of various job-cost related items. This position requires an individual who is detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated with excellent communication skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop project budgets, tracking costs, and identifying variances to support project management in making informed decisions.
• Process pay applications and contractor invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to compliance and accounting standards.
• Identify, analyze, and communicate cost variances to project controllers, providing insights for potential corrective actions.
• Prepare detailed project financial reports and analyses, maintain clear, proactive communication with all stakeholders.
• Conduct project reconciliation and administration close-out functions, ensuring thorough financial documentation and compliance.
• Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations, as required.
