Haltom Orthodontics is a premier provider of orthodontic care in New Mexico. Established in 1970 by Dr. Tucker Haltom and led by Dr. Darren Haltom since 2012, our practice has proudly served New Mexico families for over 50 years. We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, Orthodontic Assistant to join our growing team and help deliver an exceptional experience to our patients.

We are looking for a personable, motivated, responsible, and fun (very important) long-term Orthodontic Assistant to add to an already amazing team! In this role, you will assist in fabricating orthodontic appliances, preparing patients for treatment, and supporting our orthodontist in creating beautiful, healthy smiles. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to get their start in the dental/orthodontic field!

Responsibilities:

• Fabricate orthodontic appliances, retainers, aligners, and models using digital and manual techniques.
• Assist the orthodontist with placing and adjusting braces, archwires, and other orthodontic appliances.
• Perform wire bending, trimming, and polishing of appliances.
• Maintain and sterilize orthodontic instruments and equipment.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and appliance care.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure high-quality lab work.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in dental or medical assisting (preferred)
• DANB Certification
• Team player with a growth mindset!
