JOB SUMMARY :
Work with the team to engage with sales prospects, understand and assess customer requirements, prepare and present demonstrations of BS&B ® products, and address technical questions that arise throughout the sales process. The Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) should be a confident written and verbal communicator as it relates to the BS&B ® product offering and associated technical matters. In addition, the ISE should feel comfortable working closely with our product, support, engineering, and sales teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Assist in the selection of the appropriate technical solution for a given application.
Manage inquiries from representatives / distributors and customers in the United States and generate quotations from a price list within customer specified time frame and obtain discount authorisations for all enquiries including re-orders before quoting.
Work with engineering to generate special pricing where required.
Using in house database, the ISE will be responsible for cataloguing daily activities, recording customer information and logging competitor activities regarding distribution channels, pricing and general market analysis.
Provision of support to Class Managers including the provision of regular reports on inside sales activities for their territories.
Provision of a premium delivery service to customers.
Provide material support in all aspects to the representative / distributor territories assigned to them.
Follow and adhere to ISO 9001-2015 procedures.
Support and monitor all quality audit requirements.
Support the order processing team as required.
OTHER FUNCTIONS :
Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Education : A bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical), or other technical discipline.
Experience : Two (2) years to Seven (7) years of experience in the sales support or a similar combination of education and experience. Desirable- Experience within the rupture disk manufacturing or pressure relief devices industry.
Language(s) : Fluent in English and Spanish.
Knowledge : Experience in the administration of sales support programs and other management programs. Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping. Excellent oral and written communication. Excellent interpersonal skills. Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task. Strong ownership of responsibility and desire to provide superior customer service.
Mental / Physical / Visual Demands : Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Ability to lift up to twenty-five pounds. Frequently needs to talk and hear. Occasionally stands, walks and sits, as well as using hands to touch or feel, and arms to reach.
Working Conditions : General office conditions. Moderate noise (examples : business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
Equipment / Tools Used : Must possess the ability to learn the computer system and work with company enterprise software. Frequently uses office equipment such as telephones, facsimile machine, photocopier, LCD projector, etc.
Safety : Safe work performance is required from each employee at all times. Additionally, the proper discharge of safety responsibilities is an integral part of each employee’s performance appraisal.
