Lab Technician

Job Title : Lab Technician Location : Plymouth Meeting, Pa Schedule : M-F 8-5 (Available weekends as well) Type : Direct Hire Responsibilities : Performs routine and complex lab tests within established competencies and authorizations. Follows all pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical procedures for specimens, testing, and reporting. Monitors and documents quality control, maintenance, and calibration per protocols and standards. Troubleshoots test performance issues and provides technical support to staff. Starts up, shuts down, and maintains lab equipment; takes corrective action when needed and alerts Supervisor if unresolved. Participates in proficiency testing in compliance with policies. Updates lab policies, procedures, and regulatory documents as directed. Assists with activities to maintain accreditation compliance. Performs method validations, linearity, and parallel studies on instruments. Maintains a clean, safe work area and complies with lab, safety, and HIPAA regulations. Manages supply inventory and notifies Supervisor when replenishment is needed. Adapts to changing company needs and works to improve knowledge, skills, and department operations. Meet and maintain CLIA requirements. Requirements : Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or related science. Basic lab skills : micropipetting, solution prep / dilution, aseptic technique, scientific literature review, and instrument operation / maintenance. Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills. ELISA or radioimmunoassay experience. (Preferred) High-volume micropipetting experience. (Preferred) Experience in a CLIA-licensed diagnostic lab. (Preferred) Ref : #558-Scientific
