[job_card.job_description]UT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program. Must possess and maintain a current RN license to practice in Texas. Must possess and maintain current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS certification. Specialty certification, such as Ambulatory Care Nurse, preferred at hire and preferred within 12 months of eligibility At least one (1) year RN experience in a clinic environment. Five (5) years RN experience At least two (2) years RN experience as a charge nurse or supervisor.

Responsibilities
Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility for the human and fiscal resources available in order to provide quality, cost-effective patient centered care. The Charge Nurse will possess and have the capabilities to perform all the major duties and critical tasks of a Registered Nurse. The Charge Nurse will demonstrate honesty, integrity, respectfulness, discretion, responsibility and dependability. Supports the mission and vision of the facility.
