This role is for a Senior Salesforce System Administrator at a large public sector organization, blending system administration expertise with a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework.
The position requires extensive, hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and securing multiple Salesforce organizations (Orgs) and environments. A core function involves analyzing user requirements and operational procedures to identify problems, propose solutions, and improve existing computer systems through automation or enhancement.
The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of the Salesforce environment, from initial setup to production support, utilizing CI / CD frameworks, overseeing data migration projects, integrating third-party tools (like DocuSign and Azure Data Factory), and providing high-level guidance for complex troubleshooting efforts.
Core Responsibilities
- System Administration & Security : Serve as the primary, hands-on administrator for the organization's Salesforce Orgs, setting up new environments, managing user access, implementing robust security policies and best practices, and ensuring continuous system maintenance and support.
- Analysis & Solution Design : Confer with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, document user needs and system requirements, and perform cost / benefit analyses of potential alternative solutions.
- Data & Integration Management : Oversee data migrations, ensure data quality, and manage integrations with third-party applications, AppExchange products, and integration tools such as MuleSoft, Jitterbit, or Azure Data Factory.
- SDLC & CI / CD Management : Implement and enforce SDLC processes, coding standards, change control, and version management, with specific experience using CI / CD toolsets within an Agile (Scrum) methodology.
- Troubleshooting & Support : Provide guidance and hands-on support in troubleshooting and solving complex hardware and software incidents, recommending and implementing technology solutions, and providing mandatory 24 / 7 production support availability.
Required Skills & Experience
7 Years Required : Experience as a Salesforce Administrator, managing, maintaining, and overseeing support for Salesforce Orgs and their environments, including implementing and improving security policies.7 Years Required : Experience in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) process, coding standards, change control, version management, and CI / CD toolsets (e.g., Flosum).7 Years Required : Experience in data migrations, data quality management, system integrations, third-party applications, and AppExchange products.7 Years Required : Experience overseeing and providing guidance for troubleshooting complex software / hardware incidents and recommending technology solutions.Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Development : Experience in Salesforce implementation and development, including writing Apex programming, Visualforce pages, Apex triggers, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).Web Technologies & Authentication : Experience implementing authentication protocols (e.g., OAuth) and working with core web technologies (HTML5, JavaScript, REST / SOAP web services).Agile & Configuration : Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and implementing solutions using Salesforce no-code configurations (Flows, Process Builders, Workflow Rules).
