Description CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital - Westover
Hills (CSRH-WH) is a 150-bed hospital serving the fastest growing
area of San Antonio. Specialized care includes orthopedic and
surgical services, ICU, women’s services, a newborn nursery,
comprehensive cardiovascular care from diagnostics to open heart
surgery, vascular lab, sleep center, emergency services, the
CHRISTUS Weight Loss Institute, wound care, rehabilitation, and
more. The campus also boasts an Outpatient Imaging Center and three
medical plazas, one of which houses our CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family
Medicine Residency Program and CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Family Health
Center. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at CHRISTUS Santa Rosa
Westover Hills provides specialized care and treatment for patients
who are critically ill or injured. Our goal is to provide the
highest level of care and support in an environment specifically
designed for patients in serious or life-threatening medical
circumstances. The ICU is a special area used for patients in
critical condition and in need of 24-hour supervision.
Summary : The competent Nurse, in the same or similar clinical
setting, practices independently and demonstrates an awareness of
all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex
care, with the ability to on long-range goals or plans. Continues
to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of
clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to
other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical
situation. Responsibilities : Meets expectations of the applicable

Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process,
including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and
evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex
psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patient and
families in accordance with their level of practice. Using the
monitors for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment
prescribed. Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and
care given. Assess learning needs and provides education to

resources. Job Requirements : Education / Skills ~ Bachelor of
Science Degree in Nursing, preferred Experience ~1 year of
