JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
Duties of a computer scientist
- Expert proficiency with Docker, Linux, and C++
- Proficiency in network programming (TCP / IP, UDP, socket programming)
- Data decommutation principles with a solid understanding of time synchronization and real-time systems
- API design and development for Telemetry Front End processors
- Experience with data serialization formats
- Excellent technical writing skills and verbal communication
- Familiarity with telemetry standards (IRIG 106, IRIG 218-10 specifically)
- Develop and testing the Soft Decom system
- Develop a high-resolution time stream with monotonic properties.
- Create and maintain Interface Control Document (ICD)
- Implement a web interface for configuration and control
- Familiarity with the application of industry standard hardware & software design and documentation techniques with systems engineering and software development lifecycles
