Title : Personal Care Attendant (Florida PACE Centers)

Job Summary

Performs participant care activities and other tasks as assigned to assist the Nursing and Therapeutic Recreation staff.

Essential Job Functions

• Provides basic nursing assistance to participants as established in department's policies and procedures.( i.e. : toileting, feeding, transportation and bathing when needed)
• Documents treatments / procedures, observations, nursing care and participant care activities on appropriate forms per established department guidelines, when needed.
• Takes assigned participants monthly weight and reports results to PACE dietician.
• Ensures that resident's / participant's rights are adhered to.
• Participates in departmental activities, multidisciplinary team meetings, department meetings and in-services and follows established guidelines as needed.
• Completes monthly training in a timely manner.
• Assists with monthly outings when assigned.
• Participates in a structured rotation program that provides cross training for all PCA duties in the PACE program.
