Veterinary Assistant (Full-Time)

At Stamford Veterinary Center , we’re looking for a Veterinary Assistant who’s ready to jump in, support our doctors and technicians, and ensure that every pet gets top-tier care and every client feels seen, heard, and supported. What You’ll Do :

Assist doctors and licensed technicians during exams and procedures

Comfort and safely restrain pets of all sizes and temperaments

Prepare exam rooms and surgical areas with care and precision

Clean, sterilize, and maintain instruments, kennels, and hospital areas

Monitor patients before and after procedures, noting any changes

Help keep things organized, stocked, and running smoothly

Provide stellar client service — because we treat owners like family too!

Handle a bit of everything : from nail trims and blood draws to laundry and snuggles

What You Bring to the Team :

1+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant or in a related animal care role preferred

Comfort working with dogs and cats in a fast-paced environment

Strong communication skills and a calm, compassionate demeanor

A willingness to learn, grow, and pitch in wherever needed

Ability to lift 40+ lbs, work on your feet, and handle a little fur (and maybe some slobber)

A team-focused attitude and a love for animals — and the people who love them
