Controller

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to assist their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting pay rate of $86.00 to $95.00 per hour.

Job Responsibilities :

Oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal controls.

Manage the monthly close process and prepare consolidated financial reports and analysis.

Supervise cash management activities and ensure timely tax compliance and reporting.

Document processes and roles across the accounting team to support consistency and efficiency.

Partner with the CFO to drive process improvements and implement automation initiatives.

Requirements :

Minimum of 10+ years of progressive accounting experience is required.

Prior experience in construction accounting is essential.

Strong understanding of WIP, percentage-of-completion, and revenue recognition methods.

Experience with Vista Viewpoint software is highly preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

CPA certification is preferred but not mandatory.

Excellent leadership and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements.
