Job Title : Apprentice Technician

Position Purpose :
The Apprentice Technician supports the daily activities of the Service Team, learning to perform repair and maintenance work under the guidance of experienced technicians. This role involves hands-on training, assisting with field jobs, and contributing to customer satisfaction by helping ensure that all work is completed efficiently and accurately.
Essential Job Functions :
- Learn to diagnose and complete basic repair and maintenance tasks, both in the shop and on-site under supervision.
- Support senior technicians by gathering tools, parts, and service work orders, and preparing the work area.
- Observe and assist in ensuring that all work meets company standards for quality and safety.
- Participate in ongoing training to develop technical skills and product knowledge.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace, including the equipment yard and shop areas.
- Assist in ensuring a safe working environment by following safety protocols and learning to operate equipment safely.
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned by the Service Manager or senior technicians.
Education and / or Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent; enrollment in a trade school or technical program preferred.Basic mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.Proficiency with basic tools and the ability to learn to use specialized equipment.Physical Demands / Working Environment :
Lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and / or pulling; climbing and balancing; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and / or crawling; and significant finger dexterity necessary.Ability to lift 70 lbs.Ability to operate a forklift safely.Must be able to pass a pre-employment WorkSTEPS physical.Requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen to the satisfaction of McClung-Logan Equipment Company.This position is exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.Must a possess a clean MVR & valid Driver's LicenseThis job requires the ability to obtain a DOT Medical Certification.Requires working and driving outdoors in various climates / temperatures and the possibility of sitting for an extended period.Benefits :
