Overview
SRI International's Computer Science Lab (CSL) is seeking a Sr Computer Scientist . The (CSL) builds, assesses and defends vital computer systems that affect all of our lives. We study the logical
foundations of scalable systems beyond the scope of traditional testing or simulation, and we create and apply high-level tools for rigorous mechanical analysis.
This is an on site position. The CSL team is primarily at SRI’s headquarters located in Menlo Park, CA, candidates in this location will be given preference. However, we will embrace candidates that can work from our regional offices in Arlington, VA; Ann Arbor, MI; Boulder, CO; and Princeton, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Join or lead teams that perform scientific research to discover and develop cybersecurity solutions for evolving threats to critical infrastructure, commerce and U.S. National Security missions. Primary emphasis is on cyber-access methods and vulnerability assessment for cyber-physical systems (CPS).
- Develop concepts for new R&D projects. Lead early-stage business development efforts to position SRI to win new research contracts based on these concepts. Identity potential customers, collaborators and competitors and develop win strategies.
- Join or lead teams that create compelling proposals. Primary emphasis is responding to U.S. Government solicitations as a prime contractor or subcontractor, with an emphasis on the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security and the Intelligence Community.
- 25% domestic travel will be required to meet with customers and collaborators.

The salary range is : $154,080-$229,195. Salary ranges will vary and are based on several factors, including geographic location, market competitiveness and equity amongst internal employees in similar roles. Positions may also qualify for SRI's Pay for Outstanding Performance program or the annual Performance Based Compensation program. SRI also has a competitive benefits package
