Job Summary

Following established policies and procedures, renders safe, professional nursing care which includes delivering care for neonatal, pediatric and / or adolescent patients with a wide variety of medical conditions under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsible for coordinating, delegating and monitoring tasks assigned to other members of the care team in accordance with professional nursing standards. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the policies and mission of Ranken Jordan Pediatric Bridge Hospital. Protects patients, visitors and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols. Blood Borne Pathogen Exposure : Yes

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Assessment :

Performs and documents initial and ongoing assessment according to policy and procedure.

Uses clear, and concise documentation of information in the medical record.

Plans and organizes workload, setting priorities for optimal patient care.

Functions within guidelines set forth by the State Nursing Practice Act, nursing department and hospital.

Strives to deliver patient care in the safest manner possible.

Collaborates with Nursing Education, attends in service educational opportunities as required.
