Emerald Computers E-Waste Processing Role

Emerald Computers does many things but one of the main things we do is recycling a large amount of e-waste each month. We are looking for someone to help process this incoming material and sort it based on its destination. This is a full time role, located at our main location. We receive 1000+ computers per month, and tons of other random e-waste. The goal is to sort all of these items into about 200 different categories. Select which items are going to be refurbished, which items are going to be scrapped, which ones are collectable. Process the boxes of items dropped off and sort it all to where it needs to go. Create pallets of items that are mostly the same so that they can be sold.

Qualifications :

• A basic understanding of computer hardware
• Ability to lift heavy items a few times a day and smaller items more frequently.
• Self-motivated and able to keep on task even when alone
• Organized, able to follow our system and organize 1000s of items into the right place.
• Attention to detail and ability to maintain an organized workspace
• Fast, someone who can move fast and keep up a good pace all day.
• Ability to drive a forklift, or at least willing to learn.
