Practice Details
As a neurologist at Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital (KBRH) in Trail, you’ll deliver patient care and help strengthen neurology services for the community. In this role, you’ll combine office‑based practice with working alongside other specialists, providing inpatient and clinic care for patients across the Kootenay Boundary region. You’ll also have access to diagnostic tools, including MRI, EEG, and EMG to support your practice. With support from the acute stroke service in Kelowna, you’ll work as part of a network that provides coordinated care across the region, including Nelson, Castlegar, Grand Forks, and Arrow Lakes. You’ll have the flexibility to shape your practice around your interests, whether in movement disorders, seizures, or general neurology. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop services such as a TIA clinic to support regional care. You’ll have opportunities to teach and mentor through the UBC Faculty of Medicine and residency programs, integrating clinical teaching into your schedule alongside patient care. Compensation
Compensation Type : Fee‑for‑Service. Estimated Remuneration : You’ll earn between $300,000–$500,000, based on the fee‑for‑service model.
Benefits and Incentives
May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including : Retention Premium 11.48%, Retention Flat Fee $17,791. Relocation Funding Available : $Relocation reimbursement up to a maximum of $9,000 for moves within BC, $12,000 for moves within Canada, and $15,000 for those relocating from outside Canada.
