Description

The Director of Clinical Excellence (DCE) is responsible for accelerating client success through responsibilities delegated by the Chief Clinical Officer. By monitoring clinical quality metrics, the DCE ensures oversight of clinical quality, ethical practices, and client outcomes for assigned centers. As a leader and role model for other BCBAs, the DCE upholds the organization’s core values, cultivating a culture of integrity, creativity, respect, teamwork, and excellence. The DCE also implements training interventions aligned with identified needs to enhance services for clinicians across the centers they support.

Mission : drive excellence in client care and develop great clinicians

Charter :

  • We provide oversight and interventions to ensure quality and tight adherence to company clinical standards
  • We identify and remove barriers to post-training performance
  • We conduct ongoing analysis via audits and collaboration with the on-the-ground team to identify obstacles to effective learning and address those barriers by providing ongoing training in collaboration with the local leaders.
  • We focus on change harders and appropriate and successful client transitions. When barriers are identified, we provide remedial training for responsible team members and continue to monitor client metrics to ensure client progress

Key Responsibilities :

  • Monitor progress on clinical outcomes related to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including change orders, as assigned by the Chief Clinical Officer.
  • Utilize data to drive individual and center-based action and intervention plans, such as Clinical Director or BCBA training, BSP review, and ongoing case consultations.
  • Ensure that all clients in the assigned region have completed, signed, and function-based BSPs. Review and sign off on all restrictive procedures.
  • Maintain accountability mechanisms such as regular binder checks and case reviews for assigned centers.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Services (DoS) to monitor and drive the implementation and maintenance of standardized clinical processes in centers.
  • Attend CS meetings for assigned clinical centers quarterly to ensure that the CS meeting follows the outlined process and facilitates clinical case presentations.
  • Ensure client programming is ethical, appropriately individualized, and provided with integrity by making consistent programming decisions for clients.
  • Assist with the training and development of new BCBAs and Clinical Directors by conducting remedial training or ongoing competency checks. Provide clinical and leadership coaching, consultation, and assistance with matters related to client success.
  • Provide consultation on challenging cases and other generalized support as needed.
  • Assist with research projects conducted by the Clinical Training Team related to the dissemination of quality clinical services and clinical outcomes data.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements

    Job Requirements :

  • BCBA or BCBA-D Certification for a minimum of 5 years is preferred.
  • Licensure in states of practice (if applicable).
  • Leadership experience highly preferred.
  • Strong organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clinical expertise in early intervention, precision teaching, and problem behavior reduction.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional and multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication with colleagues, direct reports, and consumers.
  • Enjoys working with children and has a proven record of timely execution of responsibilities, organization, flexibility, patience, and dependability.
  • Highly motivated, naturally takes initiative, remains curious, and seeks to make a positive impact.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Basic & Physical Requirements :

  • Must have visual acuity to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
  • Must be able to take written data and transfer to electronic files or database systems.
  • Must be able to maintain prolonged periods of working on a computer while sitting at a desk or on the floor and attending virtual meetings.
  • Must be able to lift and carry clients who are at least 30 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to restrain / hold / transport and utilize quick body movements in the course of working with children with challenging behavior.
  • Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures including kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling, sitting, standing, bending, for extended periods of time.
