We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of seven years of construction superintendent experience, possess exceptional communication skills, and have a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities :
- Subcontractor Management : Supervise and evaluate subcontractors, addressing performance issues promptly.
- Project Scheduling : Maintain and update project schedules using Smartsheet or similar software.
- Budget Adherence : Monitor project expenditures, identify variances, implement corrective actions, and manage RFIs to stay within budget.
- Project Goals : Enforce safety standards, coordinate with staff and subcontractors, resolve issues, and assist with change orders to achieve project objectives.
- Safety Compliance : Create and maintain a safe work environment by following legal regulations, conducting weekly safety meetings, and enforcing safety protocols.
- Industry Knowledge : Stay updated on emerging construction practices and standards to continuously improve job performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications :
Experience : Minimum of 7-10 years in supervising tenant improvement and ground-up commercial and residential construction projects.Residential Construction : Prior experience in residential construction is essential.Technical Skills :Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Procore, and Smartsheet.
Familiarity with RFIs, Daily Reports, Submittals, and other construction-related documentation.Construction Knowledge :Strong understanding of all construction phases from grading to interior finishes.
Ability to perform quantity surveys from plans is a plus, along with an understanding of basic estimating formats and cost centers.Certifications : OSHA certifications and / or first aid and CPR training are beneficial but not required; training will be provided.Location : Must be located in Ventura or Santa Barbara Counties and be willing to commute to various job sites within these counties.
