You will perform a variety of hands-on operations in accordance with standardized processes within customer specifications.

Howmet Aerospace is currently looking for a Salt Bath Operator(s) to join our Industrial Gas Turbine (IGT) group in Hampton, Virginia. The shift hours will be determined after training completion . Training is 1st shift, M-F 6am-2pm or Weekend shift, F-Sun 7am-7pm .

New Hire Starting Rate : $21.38 p / hr. ; After 6 months : $23.75 p / hr.

This position will receive an hourly "shift premium" of $1.00 p / hr. while assigned to an off shift.

Job Summary : The Salt Bath Operator will leach cores per customer requirements.

Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities :

• Ability to load and unload basket and / or rotators per PMS.
• Maintain bath temperature at 345 degrees per activity instruction.
• Maintain bath levels at 10 to 12 inches below the top of the bath per activity instructions.
• The ability to maintain and monitor the pH levels of the containment pit.
• Record data either manually or by computer as required.
• Ability to read and follow the information on work instructions.
