Summary of the Role
Join a team within a large biotech pharmaceutical leader as a Research Associate in Drug Product Technologies. You will conduct experiments supporting the development of formulations for therapeutic proteins, focusing on stability testing and analytical characterization. Work onsite in Thousand Oaks alongside a collaborative team using state-of-the-art biochemical and biophysical techniques. Contribute to scientific progress in advancing protein-based therapies.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform experiments for the development of protein formulations, including stability testing
- Utilize biochemical and biophysical techniques for analytical characterization of protein therapeutics
- Conduct protein solution manipulation, including pipetting, dialysis, and concentration
- Operate and interpret results from HPLC chromatography and other analytical instruments
- Analyze and interpret experimental data accurately
- Maintain meticulous records using electronic laboratory notebooks
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a scientific team
- Follow standard laboratory safety and compliance protocols
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 1 year of laboratory experience in industry or academiaProficient in pipetting, sample preparation, and protein sample analysisStrong background in protein chemistry and structureHands-on experience with HPLC analysisGood problem-solving skillsProficiency with basic laboratory techniquesMotivation and aptitude to learn new skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong organizational and detailed record-keeping abilitiesPreferred Qualifications

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Conduct experiments supporting protein drug formulation development and analytical characterization. Perform sample preparation, HPLC measurements, and protein analyses.
